Hydrogen Site Tour

Tour Times:  4.5 hours per tour
Option 1: 0830 – 1300 AEST
Option 2: 1300 – 1730 AEST

Limit per tour: 20 people maximum

Pickup and Drop-off location: Kingsley St Loop, Australian National University (Next to Cultural Centre Kambri) – Click here to view the map location.

Details: The hydrogen site tours will include:

    • ActewAGL’s hydrogen refuelling station
    • Evoenergy and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) hydrogen testing facility
    • Geoscience Australia’s Repository (view salt cores and mineral specimens)
    • Mount Ainslie lookout

Bring with you:

    • Enclosed shoes – this is mandatory at some sites that are being visited
    • Passport – international visitors only
    • A hat and umbrella (recommended)

Please note, your name, role, company name and passport number (if an international visitor) is required to be provided to Geoscience Australia to gain entry to their facilities. If you do not wish to provide this information, you will be unable to access this site.

Included catering: Morning tea/ afternoon tea will be provided. Please ensure you have noted any dietary requirements on your registration.

Australian National University (ANU) Research Facility Tour

Tour Times:  2 hours
Option 1: 0900 – 1100 AEST
Option 2: 1400 – 1600 AEST

Limit per tour: 20 people maximum

Meeting Location: Australian National University – Research School of Chemistry

Details: The ANU Research facility site visit will include tours of the following laboratories:

  • Liquid organic hydrogen storage: labs for catalyst fabrication and hydrogen un/loading
  • Low-dimensional Materials and Optoelectronics Lab
  • Catalysts for water splitting
  • Direct solar-to-hydrogen production
